About

Hello Friends of the World

I am starting my personal blog here, and I hope it will lead to interesting dialogues and encounters.

I profoundly believe that we are experiencing a major shift in the World, on every imaginable aspect.

We will have to adapt our mindsets, abandon many of our most cherished beliefs, change or complement many past behaviors;

I think we all can, if we only want it. Personally I have embarked on such a journey, and this blog is meant to ask your help to guide me further on my necessary transformation.

Mind you, I am a happy man. I am a grandfather of an immensely inspiring family, thanks to the most incredible wife with whom I married 40 years ago.  To satisfy my family’s needs, I was for 30 years a business entrepreneur, roller coasting between success and failure. 10 years ago circumstances forced to stop and reflect. It was tough, but so necessary. Indeed, I have to admit having the impression of having gone through most of my life blindfolded, prisoner of so many certainties and unquestioned conventions.

Today I want my grandchildren to be happy in their lifetime, as should be their own grandchildren also. I believe this can only be achieved if everyone, every man or woman, young and old, is respected, happy and living in peace, in a world sustaining all life and nature.

My readings, encounters, analyses make me increasingly aware of the very deep and inescapable changes we all are going through.  Even if our world is a complex adaptive system, unpredictable and emergent, shifting between order and chaos, I do believe in our possibility to influence it for the better.  This motivates my commitment to act, and to do what I can to be the change I want to see in the World.

So here I am, sincerely hoping that I will very quickly grasp the essentials of the new social media, and play my part in the authentic conversations that will lead me to further question my assumptions, to further face the “uncomfortable knowledge” that comes in the wake of change.

Cheers to you all,

Charles

    Sounds like reading in a mirror … I’ve been seeking for a while now and it feels like it’s coming to a close, getting to know the people with similar views on the world
